Description: The E.L and Pauline D. Kilgore Lyceum brings another notable Alabamian to Oneonta's Little Brick Church Thursday, April 11, at 6 p.m. for its ninth annual presentation. Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner John Archibald headlines this year's Lyceum. In March, 2021, Alfred Knopf publishing released Archibald’s book, Shaking the Gates of Hell: A Search for Family and Truth in the Wake of the Civil Rights Revolution. In 2023, he and three fellow AL.com journalists, including his younger son Ramsey, won a Pulitzer Prize for their 2022 series, revealing corruption and abuses in the police department and municipal court of the Jefferson County town of Brookside.
