What will happen to the newspaper? (Part 2)

As promised, we have published a paper every week. As requested, you have continued to read and advertise. We hope you are pleased with what we’re doing.

In the public notices this week you will see a mortgage foreclosure involving Molly Howard’s estate and Rob Rice. Don’t panic! Since Rob was still in the process of buying the paper and property from Molly when both passed away, this is a necessary step to get all the ducks legally in a row for her estate to proceed with the sale of the newspaper.

The plan continues to be for The Blount Countian to be a locally owned and operated paper.

There is still a good deal of legal “stuff” that has to be handled. In the meantime it is business as usual. You can expect the paper in your mailbox or at your local store every week.
