Town of Hayden adopts resolution

In an emergency called meeting on March 18, 2020, the Town of Hayden adopted a resolution closing all public buildings and properties owned and/or operated by the Town of Hayden to the public until further notice. This closure includes, but not limited to, the following:
• Hayden Town Hall, Water Department and Police Department
• Hayden Community Center and playground
• Rock Springs Community Center (located on Rock Springs Road)
• West Blount Fire Station #1 (located on County Road 7)

TOWN OF HAYDEN WATER DEPARTMENT CUSTOMERS
Customers may continue to utilize our online payment option via our website at www.townofhayden.com or call our office at 205-543-6882 to have your payment keyed using your debit/credit card. As a reminder, the 3.5% convenience fee will still be charged as this fee is collected by the card processor, not the Town of Hayden. Customers may also mail their payments to P O Box 493, Hayden, AL 35079 or leave the payment in the drop box located in front of the Hayden Town Hall.

TOWN OF HAYDEN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Continue to dial 911 for any emergency you may have. Should you have questions regarding obtaining accident or incident reports, please call 205-543-6887

WEST BLOUNT FIRE STATION #1
While the Town of Hayden does not operate or manage the West Blount Fire District, we do own the building and grounds used by this station. Per Fire Chief J J Ivey, the building will remain closed to the public. Should you have a medical emergency, you should continue to dial 911 and not attempt to enter the fire station.

TOWN OF HAYDEN STORM SHELTER
We are currently awaiting direction from the Emergency Management Office regarding the operation of our tornado shelter. Once this information is received, it will be relayed promptly.
