Susan Moore, died June 1, 2014, at UAB Hospital. He worked in law enforcement for more than 20 years and retired from Blount County Sheriff’s Department after working for both Snead and Blountsville Police departments. He enjoyed golf, Alabama football, and the outdoors. Predeceasing him were parents Ellie and Lurene Thompson Foster, one infant brother, and one infant sister.

Surviving are wife Sandy Foster; daughters Cindy Foster Bash, Chattanooga, Tenn., Susanne (Bobby) Bradford, Prattville, Kendra (Mitch) Koch, Oneonta; sons Jonathan (Julie) Foster, Albertville, Jason (Jennifer) Thomas, Tuscaloosa, Brock (Kristi) Nix, Susan Moore; grandchildren Jaye Foster, Jared Bash, Dylan Bradford, Hannah Wise, Brandt Foster, Hayley Bradford, Gracie Koch, Wyatt Koch, Kyleigh Foster, Jackson Bradford, Madison Bodine, Ryleigh Thomas, Kennedi Nix, Nate Koch, Kenzli Nix; sister Peggy Foster (Rudy) Rodriguez, Del Rio, Texas.

Mike Murphree officiated the 11 a.m. service held June 4 at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Altoona/Walnut Grove Cemetery with Bill Ferry, Dennis McDaniel, Pat Thomas, Tony Dodd, John Wayne Fore, Ronnie Chastain, Jim Kent, and Jerry Hughes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jaye Foster, Jared Bash, Dylan Bradford, Brandt Foster, Jackson Bradford, Wyatt Koch, and Nate Koch.
