Molly Ann King Tipton of Snead graduated in May with honors from the UAB School of Optometry with a doctor of optometry degree. She was the recipient of the American Optometric Foundation/Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Award for excellence in patient care. She is also conducting a pilot research study with the vision science department at UAB.
Tipton is a 2010 graduate of Appalachian High School and 2013 graduate of Auburn University, where she earned a bachelors degree in biomedical sciences. She was assistant director of the University Program Counsel and a model for the University Modeling Board.
She is married to Matthew David Tipton and is the daughter of Van and Melissa King of Snead, granddaughter of John and Peggy Dorminey of Montgomery and Dean and Anne King of Altoona, and daughter-in-law of Brian and Teresa Tipton of Oneonta. She is providing patient care at Clinic for Vision in Albertville.
