The Town of Blountsville continues to find fun and festive ways to help its park and recreation facility. This Saturday, Blountsville officials invite you to join them for Tiger Trade Day. Held at the town’s park and recreation complex, festivities kick off at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day, finally wrapping up at 5 p.m.
There will be something for everyone! They’ve got several fun things lined up like dunking booths, bounce houses, corn hole, cotton candy, food trucks, 25 vendors, two live bands, and more.
At 7 p.m., the park will come alive once again for movie night featuring the original “Space Jam” movie. Cost is $5 per couple or $10 per family to watch the movie under the stars. Concessions will be available. (No outside food or drinks allowed).
All proceeds from Tiger Trade Day go straight back into the park. Donations will be used for park upgrades and supplies for the park and fields. Also, with youth football starting soon and the number of players almost doubling since last year, a portion of the donations will be used for football equipment, supplies, and needed upgrades.
“The Town of Blountsville would like to make this an annual event,” said council member Debra Sorrell. “We hope you’ll come out and enjoy a fun-filled day with your family and friends while helping the park at the same time.”
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the event will be held Saturday, Aug. 7.
