THOMAS JEFFERSON SULLIVAN IV, 6,



Ashville, died May 26, 2013, in his mother’s arms and surrounded by family. Thomas, also known as Superman, fought a long battle against medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. He loved Superman, SpongeBob, Auburn football, pets Birdie, Richard, and his dog Charlie.

Surviving are parents Heather Lambert and Tommy Sullivan; sister Shelby; grandparents Ron and Shelia Lambert, Deb Lambert, all of Ashville, Mike and Sandra Sullivan, Springville; aunts and uncles Nicole Sullivan, Mark and Angela Lambert, Leslie and Daniel White, Ethan Fuller, Matt and Anita Gafford, Katie Putman, Nick and Kim York, Crystal Moore, Carol and David Hall, Samuel Fore; cousins Kirsten Lambert, MacKinsey Lambert, Zoe Lambert, Alyssa Lambert, Ella White, Conner York, Lindsey Hall, Brandon Hall, T.J. Gafford, Jessica Gafford.

Shane Bearden officiated the 1 p.m. service held May 31 at Flow Church in Ashville. A graveside service and burial followed at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Trussville. Mark Lambert, Daniel White, Matt Gafford, Nick York, Ethan Fuller, and Tommy Sullivan served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Chad Slade and the Auburn University Football Team, the 2012 Ashville High School Football Team and Team Thomas J (Marty Crews, Josh Hardeman, Larry Hardeman, Adam Abernathy, and Bill Huckbay). The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Few, Dr. Reddy and staff at Clinic 8 (CHoA), the 8th floor oncology nurses, and the staff of Comfort Care Hospice. Memorial donations may be made to Pediatric Neuro-Oncology for Brain Tumor Research at Children’s Hospital of Alabama. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directed.
