Blount County’s newest restaurant, The Wood Fire Grill in Cleveland, has been packed since it officially opened last Wednesday. There are already rave reviews for the wood fire oven pizzas, Philly cheese steak, pork loin sandwich, and a new twist on an old favorite, the sweet and sour corndog which comes on a bed of fries topped with a jalapeno ranch sauce. Owner Samantha Butler says she has more than 30 employees (and still looking for more) and she has high praise for her staff, especially her hard-working high school students.
The restaurant sold out of pizza and boneless wings both Friday and Saturday nights. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and there are 11 big screen televisions throughout the restaurant. It’s the perfect place to meet with friends or take your family out to eat. The Wood Fire Grill is different from anything in Blount County, and it’s definitely a great addition to the restaurants in the area.
The Wood Fire Grill is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. However, the restaurant will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday this week for the holiday. Regular hours resume Tuesday, July 5. For pick-up orders, phone 274-0123.
