Teaming Up For Breast Cancer Awareness







The Covered Bridge Festival Pageant and the Jacksonville State Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) chapter will team up for a Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser with a Blount County emphasis. Contestants in the Covered Bridge Festival Pageant on Oct. 4 – a fundraiser for the Miss Alabama-affiliated Miss Covered Bridge Pageant Oct. 18 – will sell pink bows as a community service project to raise money for breast cancer awareness and education in concert with ZTA. Contestants in each of two age groups who raise the most money for the project will be awarded trophies. ZTAs raised over $36,000 for the project last year. – Ron Gholson
