Stallions ride past Eagles

The Appalachian Eagles took on the South Lamar Stallions in the first round of the state playoffs losing 6-45.

The Eagles were held scoreless for the entire first half entering halftime down 0-19.

Sam Gunter was able to find the end zone on the ground in the fourth to put the Eagles on the board and bring the final score to 6-45.

Offensively for the Eagles, Noah Harris went 3-for-11 for 36 yards and ran five times for 21 yards. Paco Jiles caught two passes for 37 yards. Gunter ran 26 times for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, Hunter Conn had six tackles; Gage Helms had seven tackles and a sack; Braden Tuttle had nine tackles; and Gabe Smith had seven tackles.

The Eagles end their season 6-5.
