“This group of seniors were freshmen when I first came to Susan Moore. I have watched them grow from boys into the young men they are today. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to be a part of these young men’s lives. They play harder than any group of athletes I have been around. I have enjoyed coaching and watching them compete.
“When we learned that the Altamont game might be the last game of the season, I tried to convey that we can only control what we can control. All we are able to dictate is our own actions on the field; everything else is out of our control. So take care of what you can control.
“This group of seniors are so special to me because they were the first class that I had been able to coach from freshmen on up. I will miss them, but look forward to seeing them succeed in the next phase of their lives, and grow up to be good fathers and husbands.”
