Snead man arrested for electronic solicitation of a child

Last Wednesday, Bryan Keith Russell, 50, of Snead, was arrested for electronic solicitation of a child following an investigation conducted by the FBI into Russell’s computer activity, according to a press release from Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey.

Russell was served a warrant at his residence on Riversight Drive by FBI agents, the Blount County District Attorney’s Office, and the Blount County Sheriff’s Department.

“Russell’s arrest was a combination of local, state, and federal officials working together to protect our children and our community,” Casey said.

As of Tuesday, Russell was being held in the Blount County Correctional Facility on a $1 million bond.
