Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization that builds beds for 3- to 17-year-olds who don’t have a bed to sleep in, held a pajama day fundraiser on Giving Tuesday. Several schools participated as well as Oneonta City Hall, Lester Memorial Daycare and Preschool, and Alabama Pediatric Therapy.

Oneonta City Schools raised $1,485.55; Southeastern School raised $672.08; Blountsville Elementary raised $704; Susan Moore Elementary raised $595.50; Lester Memorial raised $152; and Oneonta City Hall raised $100. Alabama Pediatric Therapy raised $300 with their sensory Santa day.

SHP has periodic bed build days that allow members of the community to be involved with the ministry. Any donation is welcome so that “No child sleeps on the floor in our town.”
