Sav-a-Life executive director Kathy Lacks says she’s thankful to those who decided to buy a ‘Choose Life’ vehicle tag this year. By doing so, $2,674.48 was donated to the Blount Countybased non-profit organization. Proceeds from each $50 ‘Choose Life’ tag go to assist local prolife centers. Of that cost, $41.25 goes directly to Sav-a-Life, according to Lacks, who says Sav-a- Life’s mission is to give ‘life-affirming alternatives to abortion and to present biblical truth passionately…’ The center, located at 311 1st Ave. East in Oneonta, offers pregnancy tests, factual information on all options, peer counseling, ultrasound referrals, abstinence programs, Bible studies, and parenting/life skill classes.
Additionally, on Nov. 6, at 6:30 p.m., the organization will host its annual banquet, and everyone is welcome to attend the free event. For more information, contact Lacks at 625- 5416 or visit www.bcsavalife.com.
