Philly Cheese Steak Dip
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
1 Tbsp butter
½ tsp each: Italian seasoning, garlic
powder, onion powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
2 blocks cream cheese, softened
¼ cup mayo
2 Tbsp sour cream
2 tsp red wine vinegar
1 pound deli-sliced roast beef,
2 ½ cups provolone cheese, shredded
Saute the veggies with the butter and a pinch of salt in a skillet until they soften. Stir in the seasonings and allow the mixture to cool. In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, and red wine vinegar with a hand mixer. Season with ½ tsp salt and ¼ tsp black pepper. Stir in the veggies, roast beef, and 1 ½ cups of the shredded cheese. Spray a dish with nonstick cooking spray and add the dip. Top with the remaining cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
A great dish to take to upcoming holiday parties! I prefer to eat it on toasted bread.
