Mom’s Grilled Cream Cheese Sandwich
Sliced white loaf bread
Softened cream cheese
Cinnamon and sugar mixture
Spread softened cream cheese between two slices of bread and grill with butter in a skillet like you would a normal grilled cheese sandwich. As soon as it comes out of the skillet, dip each side in a plate of cinnamon and sugar mixture.
I have not had these in years, but they are so good. My mom made them when I was little and I thought they were the best thing ever. They were my after-school snack many days. She always cut the crusts off, but that was probably just the way I wanted it; you don’t have to. I’m going to encourage her to make them again just to see if they still taste like I remember.
