It’s the best time of year…strawberry season. Strawberries have officially arrived at the local stand. When Ginger Perkins worked here she, Melanie, and I ate this spring salad almost every day for lunch. We ordered a gallon jug of balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing from a local restaurant and we emptied the entire jug during strawberry season. We kept the strawberry stand in business, for sure. My son also loves strawberry season. We go at least once to a patch to pick a bucket full. I think he eats more while he’s picking than he actually puts in his bucket. There’s nothing like eating fresh picked strawberries right out of the patch!

Spring Berry Salad

1 container of spring mix salad
Strawberries, sliced
Blueberries
Walnut pieces
Feta cheese
Balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing

Toss all ingredients together. It tastes best with fresh, local strawberries!
