Ham and Corn Chowder

1/2 cup coarsely
chopped onion
1/2 cup butter or
margarine, melted
1 (17-oz.) can creamstyle corn
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 cup chopped cooked
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Directions Sauté onion in butter in a Dutch oven until tender. Add remaining ingredients; cook over low heat until heated (do not boil). Yield: 4 cups. Microwave Directions: Combine onion and butter in a 2-quart casserole; cover with heavy-duty plastic wrap, and microwave at HIGH for 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients. Microwave at HIGH for 4 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
