Dear Blount Countians,
I am a member of Friends of the Locust Fork River and I feel passionately about keeping our beautiful river free-flowing, healthy for all living creatures, and rich with biological diversity.
I frequently see cars at the new Scenic River Overlook on Hwy 79/231 and it’s just one more demonstration of how this river is a rich resource for our county, both spiritually and economically.
Threats to our river will persist. Over and over through our lives we get to choose what we want to cherish, and we get to find the best ways to live our values.
Please consider cherishing your river.
Write a letter to ADEM asking for better regulations to keep our water and our river healthy.
Go to flfr.org for all info you need.
Come to a PUBLIC HEARING WITH ADEM to find out more, and maybe give voice to your choices: Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 6 p.m., at American Legion Post #129, 1148 College Street, Blountsville, AL 35031.
In honor of the Locust Fork,
Nancy Jackson, Blountsville
