Prepping for the parade

Many groups, including The Church of Oneonta, chose to prepare their parade float in the Blount County- Oneonta Agri-Business Center before last night’s Christmas parade. The group worked for three weeks on the float, named ‘Jesus – the Light of the World,’ and used many everyday items to create their scene. Plastic jugs and foam were used for rocks, a laundry detergent handle became a door handle, and a broken chair was turned into a nautical wheel. – Nicole Singleton
