Zachary Teal’s hobby is helping him help others. In 2007, Teal began taking photos of sporting events and from there his interests branched into taking pictures of nature and other scenes.
Teal has been named this month’s featured local artist, and 28 of his photos taken between 2010 and 2013 are on display at the Blount County Memorial Museum where he volunteers.
“The main reason I want to display them is to raise money for a mission trip to Malaysia and the Philippines,” Teal said. “People can either buy one of the photos or donate.”
Teal’s photographs are for sale – $10 for an 8-x-10, $5 for a 5-x-7, and $1 for a 4-x-6.
