89, died March 25, 2012, at South Hampton Nursing Home, Owens Cross Roads. A former resident of Snead, she was a longtime member of Antioch Church of Christ, and most recently attended Farley Church of Christ in Huntsville. She was predeceased by parents Lonnie and Ethel Compton Plemons; husband Elmer K. Brooks; and sonin law James Jackson.
Surviving are sons Jimmy K. Brooks, Harvest, and Jacky L. Brooks, High Springs, Fla.; daughter Cheryl Brooks Jackson, Gonzales, La.; grandchildren Eric Brooks, Huntsville, Dawn Brooks Bragg, Germantown, Tenn., Pamela Brooks Simmons, High Springs, Fla., Kimberly Jackson Hendrix and Amy Jackson LeBlanc, both of Gonzales, La.; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Travis Conner will officiate the service on Thursday, March 29, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Snead Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery fund in lieu of flowers.
