Last week the paper ran a photo of local musicians under the headline “Bear Meat pickup band.” The group didn’t have a name, so we suggested that – since they came together at the Bear Meat Music Festival – they name themselves after it. Wrong. It seems there already is a Bear Meat Band– in the Cleveland area – they say. They thought the newspaper writer should have had sense enough to check the Internet to find if there already was a band by that name. He didn’t.

In last week’s article,“Covered Bridge quilt represents family history,” it was reported Jerry and Jean Gibbs were from Altoona, but they are from Oneonta.
