Oneonta officials to conduct test of electronic vote counter

Runoff for Council Seat 3 set for Tuesday, Oct. 6

On Sept. 22,  Amanda Cole, Oneonta city clerk and the city’s election official, announced that pursuant to Alabama administrative code, rule 307-X-1-.04,a public test of the electronic vote counter would take place at noon on Friday, Sept. 25, in the auditorium of the Frank Green building located at 415 5th Ave. East in Oneonta. The test is open to all interested citizens.

Candidates or their representatives are also invited to attend and witness the proceedings in connection with the testing of the counters that will be used for the city’s runoff municipal election, which will be Tuesday, Oct. 6. Copies of the notice can be found at Oneonta City Hall, the Oneonta Public Library, the Blount County Courthouse, and the city’s website.
