As of Tuesday, a 28-year-old Oneonta man was in custody at the Blount County Jail on a $30,000 bond for manufacturing 2nd.
The Oneonta Police Department received an anonymous tip suggesting the investigation of a nearby apartment, according to Oneonta Police Chief James Chapman.
The police gained consent from the apartment owner to search the residence and remains and components of a meth lab were found. However, the lab was not active at that time, according to Investigator Shane Osborn.
The resident at the apartment told the police where to find the person involved with the meth lab. After contacting that person, he refused to cooperate and was arrested. The suspect had a previous manufacturing charge in February 2012.
The apartment resident is not charged at this time.
