Local author and former lobbyist Judi McGuire of Blount County will debut her Christian etiquette book of the above title on Saturday, March 12, at 12 noon with a book signing at the Picket Fence in Oneonta.
McGuire, a resident of Blount County since 1999, credits her mother and grandmother for their efforts in training her in the graces of etiquette that have followed her through life. A member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Oneonta, McGuire said her friend and pastor, Dr. David Wilson, asked her to write the book.
“In her career as a lobbyist, Judi McGuire encountered almost every kind of social situation and has experience in handling difficult situations and people,” said her editor Mary Alice Kenley. “Her study of God’s word brought her to a realization that it does indeed contain all we need for ‘life and godliness,’ including interaction with others.”
