OFFER’s Open House prompts thanks to many

On behalf of the Oneonta Foundation for Education Resources (OFFER), I would like to thank everyone who had a part in making our Christmas Home Tour such a resounding success. We want to personally thank the four home owners, the Ethridges, Larsens, Clevelands, and Hardmans, for opening their beautiful homes for the public to enjoy, and Limestone Golf Club, which provided the delicious refreshments.

Moreover, we deeply appreciate the publicity each week in The Blount Countian by Molly Howard and Rob Rice, which featured the homes on the tour; the reminders on WCRL/WKLD; the “Newslester,” and the running displays by Alpine Advertising on cable TV.

The four florists, Evans Florist, Floral Creations, The Flower Shop, and Hicks Floral Designs, helped to make the day even more festive with the beautiful plants, flowers, and arrangements provided to each home. We also appreciate all the businesses who helped with sales of the tickets, Charlie B’s, Darlene’s, Interiors by Design, Heart’s Desire, and Century 21, which also provided Open House signs/balloons at each intersection and home.

Lastly, I wish to thank all of you who purchased the tickets, beautifully designed by Robin Edmondson, and spent your Sunday afternoon with us. Hopefully, this helped you to get in the Christmas spirit.

The proceeds from the tour will be used to help fund teacher grants and other worthwhile projects that enhance student learning in the Oneonta schools.
Syble Brindley, Chair
