OFFER offers thanks

The Oneonta Foundation for Educational Resources (OFFER) is very grateful to the citizens of Oneonta and Blount County who made this year’s OFFER Christmas Home tour a big success.

Sincere thanks go to Jack and Pat Standridge, Jan Mooney, Steve and Diane Clowdus, and Calvary Episcopal Church for providing wonderful venues for the tour. Each property was beautifully decorated and presented a unique aspect of Christmas. Calvary Episcopal Church prepared and served delicious refreshments and provided organ music for tour-goers’ enjoyment.

OFFER thanks Oneonta City School teachers who served as hosts and hostesses throughout the tour, and to the students who directed traffic and assisted in various ways before, during, and after the tour. Lovely music was provided by Rita Allen, Josephine Rouse, and Camille Shirley during the afternoon.

Special thanks go to The Blount Countian which provided complete and comprehensive coverage of the tour for a month prior to the tour date. Also, thanks to Alpine Advertising who provided excellent cable coverage promoting the tour, and WCRL for their timely radio spots covering the tour.

And, finally, thank you to all who purchased tickets for the tour. This support will greatly assist students and teachers of Oneonta City Schools in the coming years.
