CAROL JEAN CLEMENTS, 66, Oneonta, died June 23, 2012, at the residence. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at TLC Nursing Center for many years and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Husband Dalton Clements predeceased her, as did parents Willis Tilton and Myrtle Irene Jones Cleveland and brother Charles Cleveland.

Surviving are sons Phillip (Debbie) Horton and Jay (Sunny) Clements, all of Rosa; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother Harold ( Joan) Cleveland, Oneonta; chosen daughter Kathy Clements Grace.

W.C. Green officiated the service held at 11 a.m. June 25, at Lemley Chapel. Burial was at Clements Cemetery with Cody Horton, Mike Clements, Jonathan Cleveland, Gary Clements, Edward Clements, Erica Grace, Danny Wayne Jackson, and Norman Clements serving as pallbearers.

CHARLES EDWARD DAILEY, 70, Gallant, died June 18, 2012, at St. Vincent’s East, Birmingham. A barber, Mr. Dailey was born in Alabama to the late Austin Lee and Joy Ann Jones Dailey. Wife Ann Dailey; grandson Heath Dailey; brothers Arby and Allen Dailey; sisters Sadie Smith and Jean McEvoy also predeceased him.

Surviving are sons Eddie (Kat) Dailey, Altoona, Jimmy (Candy) Dailey, Gallant, Scotty Dailey, Gallant; daughter Kelly (Gary) Barron, Steele; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Vernon (Betty) Dailey, Florida.

Alvin Turner and Benji Dailey officiated the 10 a.m. service held June 21 at 10 a.m. at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Antioch Cemetery with Ricky Green, John Thompson, Rick Tidmore, Wayne Dailey, Jessee Salmons, and Shane Brothers serving as pallbearers. Dustin Barron served as honorary pallbearer.

TAMMY DIANE DELONG, 52, Hayden, died June 21, 2012, at St. Vincent’s East, Birmingham. She was born in Mount Pleasant, Mich., to the late William and Barbara Bushong DeLong. She was owner of Albertville Cottage Flowers and enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, and kayaking.

Surviving are fiancee Thomas Bowen; daughters Jessica Ikewood and Caitlyn (Tony) Mize; grandchild Lillian Chiodini; brothers William DeLong, Dennis DeLong, Jeffrey (Shanna) DeLong; sisters Debra (Daniel) Woodberry and Terry (Patrick) Doyle.

A memorial service will be held at Rowley Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Mich., on July 1 at 1 p.m. Donations to the family may be made in lieu of flowers. Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home directed.

CECIL BLANTON EVERETT, 91, Remlap, died June 20, 2012, at TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta. He was predeceased by parents Joe and Berta Stevens Everett; brother Dr. Edwin Everett; and sister Louise Logan. Mr. Everett had worked as a project manager with the Jim Walter Corporation.

Surviving are wife Beryl Everett; son James Everett, Remlap; daughter Linda Menzies, Birmingham; grandchildren R. Todd (Miranda) Menzies, Pinson, and Katrina Menzies, Birmingham; great-grandchildren Dellta McDonald and Lexy Adkins; sister Joann Crowder, Tennessee; brothers Dr. Joel (Mary) Everett, Tennessee, and Dr. Burton (Darlene) Everett, California.

BRADLEY HEATH ‘BRAD’ FOSTER, 33, Blountsville, died June 24, 2012, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. He was the son of Faye Holmes Foster and the late Eron Frank Foster.

Surviving besides his mother are sister Teresa (Greg) Skillman, Cleveland; nieces Candace ( Josh) Marsh and Kelsey Skillman; great nieces Bailey Rece and Adalyn Marsh.

Tommy Riggs will officiate the service to be held today at 2 p.m. at Valley Chapel of Oneonta, with burial at Gibbs Chapel Cemetery. Jason McGlaughn, Josh Marsh, Bryan Faulkner, Jason Mitchell, Jerry Mitchell, and Ken Bryant will serve as pallbearers.

PAUL GRAHAM, 91, Oneonta, died June 24, 2012, at the residence. He was a member of the Clarence Masonic Lodge for over 50 years and retired from U.S. Steel with over 40 years of service. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Mr. Graham was predeceased by parents Herman Paul and Emma Ida Nash Graham; wife Mildred Allison Graham; daughter Shelia Graham; great-grandson Beau Ross Bailey; and sisters Nell and Wilma Pitts.

Surviving are daughters Paulette Graham, Oneonta, and Annete (Gary) Kent, Altoona; grandchildren Brian (Kristy) Bailey and Jereme (Lindsey) Kent; great-grandchildren Connor, Ashley, Darrian, McKenzie, Aubree, and Graham.

MARTHA C. HILL, 83, Oxford, died June 17, 2012, at Princeton Hospital, Birmingham. A former resident of Hayden, she was widow of Milton E. Hill, who died in 2002. She was self-employed as a seamstress and was a member of Harvest Church of God. Besides her husband, she was also predeceased by parents Rufus and Cora Whitlow Hunt Pugh; son James W. Hill; granddaughter Amber C. Plants; five brothers; and two sisters.

Surviving are daughters Norma Jean (Don) Plants, Florida, Linda Gaye Goswick, Oxford, Jeannette Hill, Bay Minette; sons Milt Jr. (Linda) Hill, Blountsville, and Dennis Edmond Hill, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven siblings.

Don Maddox and Milt Hill officiated the service held June 20 at noon at Blountsville Baptist Church, Burial followed at Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery, Arkadelphia. ERA HITT, 95, Blountsville, died June 17, 2012, at Cullman Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Blount County, she was daughter of Raymond Lee and Vollie Butts Smith, both of whom preceded her in death, as did husband Sam Hitt, who died in 1992. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by son Wilford Hitt; daughter Willie Dale Hitt; brother Ray Smith; sisters Edna Bradford, Ermon Black, and Clara Johnston.

Surviving are daughter Shelba Jean Schultz, Cullman; daughter-in-law Alene Hitt, Cullman; grandchildren Donnie (Rhonda) Hitt, Blountsville, Vickie Martin, Cullman, Dale (Becky) Schultz, Cullman; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Arlin (Edna) Smith, Cullman, and Alton (Denise) Smith, Colorado; sister Floy Dingler, Georgia.

SUSAN VIOLA LOYD, 78, Straight Mountain, died June 23, 2012, at St. Vincent’s East, Birmingham. She was predeceased by husband Leldon “Buster” Loyd; parents Miles Otis and Alice Luerna Washburn Clements; grandson Johnathan Loyd; brothers Richard, Ray, and Johnny Clements; and sister Ruby Howell.

Surviving are sons Kenneth ( Jenette) Loyd, Ashville, and Earl (Terri) Loyd, Straight Mountain; daughter Marilynn (Steve) Farrell, Oneonta; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Maurice (Opal) Clements, Straight Mountain, and James (Mary) Clements, Pleasant Grove; sisters Jeannete Woodard, Snead, Faye (Dalton) Hullett, Oneonta, Juanita Ross, Somerville.

KENNETH JOSEPH MARSH, 76, Oneonta, died June 15, 2012. Married to Patricia Jean Robbins Marsh, he was a retired truck driver with ABF Truck Lines, and enjoyed Alabama football, traveling, fishing, and his grandchildren. Mr. Marsh was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Parents Carl Joseph “Dock” and Nellie Leila Nix Marsh predeceased him, as did brothers Eldridge and Glenn Marsh and sister Wanda Self.

Surviving besides his wife are sons Kenneth Jr. (Mindy) Marsh and Carl Christopher Marsh; daughters Cynthia (Randy) Walker and Tina Marie ( Jed) Davis; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Shirley (Bob) Summer.

ROY W. MOUNT, 91, Blountsville, died June 20, 2012, at Cullman Long Term Care and Rehab. He was a retired drill press operator at Stockholm Valve and Fittings, and a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church. Mr. Mount was predeceased by wife Ernesteen Tidwell Mount; parents John and Ida Alldredge Mount; brothers Coy, Roscoe, and Chester Mount; sisters Bessie Helms and Carrie Mount.

Surviving are daughters Rita ( Jimmy) Murphree, Blountsville, and Deborah (Herman) Marks, Georgia; grandchildren Russell Murphree, Lee Murphree, Amber White, Jay Bryan; six great-grandchildren.

MARTHA ALMEDA ROBERTSON, 95, Blountsville, died June 22, 2012, at Ruby Manor, Holly Pond. She had worked in the Vernon school system and was a social worker for many years. After returning to Blount County, she was director of the Aging program for several years. Parents David Enoch and Dora Jane Fant Alldredge predeceased her.

Surviving are son Joe (Nell) Robertson, Madison, Miss.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

BRITANY DANIELLE MELVIN WOOD, 20, Oneonta, died June 19, 2012. She was married to Christian Wood, who also died June 19. She attended Douglas High School and was currently working as a manager at Subway in Oneonta.
