THE AMERICAN RED CROSS urges county residents to donate blood. The blood supply right now is at a critically low level, and more will be needed during the holidays. A blood drive will be held Friday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the American Red Cross Oneonta location, 906 Second Ave. East. Blood drives will be held monthly in Blount County to help replenish the low supply.

ONEONTA CITY SCHOOLS announces that access is now available to STI’s INow Home Portal which allows parents daily access to a student’s grades, attendance, and discipline information via the Internet. Due to the sensitive nature of the material, parents are required to pick up the log-in instructions from the appropriate school office any day day during normal hours starting today (Oct. 19). School offices will also be open until 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 1 and 2, for parents to pick up the instructions. For more information, call 625-3801 or 625-4108.
