NARFE CHAPTER 942 will meet at Catfish Cabin Restaurant in Albertville tomorrow, April 17, at 10 a.m. Lyndon Smith of the Senior Carolina Fire Advisory Company will conduct the program, “The lighter side of senior fire safety.”

BLOUNTSVILLE LIONS CLUB BREAKFAST The annual Lions Club pancake breakfast will be Saturday, April 19, from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. in the J.B. Pennington High School lunchroom. The $6 dine in or carry out plate includes pancakes, eggs,

bacon, sausage, coffee, and orange juice. Proceeds are used to help fund school and community projects. More than $90,000 has been raised over the last nine years, and $37,000 of that total was for scholarships to area students.

BOY SCOUTS SPAGHETTI DINNER Troop 160 will have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday, April 25, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Oneonta First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. The plates are $5 each, dine in or carry out. Proceeds benefit the scout troop.

COMMUNITY ARTS COUNCIL of Blount County will sponsor Missoula Children’s Theater with two workshops and two performances this summer. Treasure Island will begin on Monday, June 23, at 11:30 a.m., with the performance Saturday, June 28. King Arthur’s Quest will begin Monday, July 21, at 11:30 a.m., with the performance Saturday, July 26. Cost is $50 per child entering grades 1-12.
