BROOKSVILLE COMMUNITY CLUB will hold a plant sale on Friday and Saturday, March 23-24, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Ferns, hibiscus, mandevillas, and many other plants will be available. FORAGE BASICS MINI SERIES will be offered by the Blount County Extension office beginning Thursday, March 15, at the Frank Green Building auditorium at 6:30 p.m. The topic of the program is soils and soil fertility. The program is free, but register by contacting the Extension office at 274-2129.
The Extension office will also offer a class on how to save money with coupons. The class will be Thursday, March 22, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Frank Green Building auditorium. The $3 fee will provide program materials and is payable at the event. Pre-register for the class by calling 274-2129.
SPRING INTO ACTION Enjoy a hot dog lunch on Tuesday., March 20, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Oneonta City Hall. The $5 lunch includes hot dog, chips, dessert, and drink. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Blount County Relay for Life.
ONEONTA CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet March 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the boardroom.
