COUNTRY MUSIC LEGEND TO PERFORM Larry Gatlin will perform at the Bevill Center concert hall for a special fundraiser to benefit the Jennifer Garmany Hallmark Endowed Scholarship Fund. The concert will be Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. Jennifer was a top nursing student at Snead State who lost her life during the April 27, 2011, tornadoes. Her family established the scholarship fund to honor her legacy of hard work, dedication, and caring nature. Proceeds from the concert will go to the scholarship fund. Tickets are $25 per person and available at the Snead State Bookstore, WQSB, and the chambers of commerce in Boaz, Albertville, Guntersville, and Arab. JACKSONVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI Blount County Chapter will meet at O So Good BBQ on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 6:30 p.m. High school seniors from Blount County and Oneonta high schools who are interested in attending JSU will be guests of the alumni association.
