LOCUST FORK MASONIC LODGE 481 will host a turkey shoot on Saturdays, Nov. 1, 8, and 15, from 9 a.m. until ? The shoot will take place at the end of Spunky Hollow Road and county road 15. 14th ANNUAL PALISADES PARK CHRISTMAS LIGHTS Groups may register at the park now through Nov. 10, Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

ONEONTA BUSINESS ASSOCIATION The second annual Holiday Decorating Contest will expand to two categories and include storefronts, windows, buildings, structures, and more. SUMMIT VOLUNTEER FIRE AND RESCUE will have a trunk or treat and bonfire on Friday, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m. until? There will be chili, hot dogs, and lots of candy. Those interested in participating with a vehicle in the trunk or treat phone Kelly Stanton at 256-557-5739 by Oct. 25.

BLOUNT COUNTY DULCIMER JAMS will meet the first and third Tuesdays of each month, 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., at the Amilea Porter Center. Those interested in playing or just listening are welcome. Phone 681-2262 with questions.

BLOUNTSVILLE LIONS CLUB will have the annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the J.B. Pennington High School lunchroom. The $6 plate includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and drink. All proceeds benefit school and community projects.
