ONEONTA PUBLIC LIBRARY Tomorrow, July 4, and Friday, July 5: The library will be closed for Independence Day. Saturday, July 6, 10 a.m.: Lego Club will meet for the last time this summer. Normal third Saturday meetings will resume in August. At 2:30 p.m., adults are invited to bring their favorite card or board game or come try a new one in a community game event. Traditional and not-so-traditional games will be available. Monday, July 8, 10 a.m.: Story hour will meet for the last time this summer. Normal Wednesday schedule will resume in August. 2019 VEGETABLE FESTIVAL will be Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. until noon, at the Blount County Farmer’s

Market. There will be several raffle drawings for customer and vendors throughout the day. Free tomato sandwiches are the highlight of the day. WCRL’s Jeremy Lesley will broadcast live during the event.

FREE CPR CLASS Oneonta Fire & Rescue will hold a free CPR class for the public Saturday, July 13, at 10 a.m., at Oneonta Fire Station 12, 308 2nd Street North. The one-hour class (intended for those without medical backgrounds) will teach participants how to recognize cardiac arrest and perform CPR using the hands only chest compression method.
