BROOKSVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT will have a fish fry on Saturday, March 17, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the department, located at the intersection of Ala 79 and U.S. 278. The $11 plate is fish, shrimp, or chicken and all the fixings and benefits the Brooksville Fire Department.

DAFFODIL FESTIVAL The fifth annual event will be Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., at the Blountsville Historical Park. There will be music all day, vendors, cabin tours, food, drinks, and a real Confederate wedding. Parking is $5, admission to the festival is free. Vendors featuring Blount County products are welcome.

MISS BLOUNT COUNTY PAGEANT will be Saturday, March 17, at Oneonta High School. Girls ages one month through high school seniors are invited.
