STRAIGHT MOUNTAIN SENIOR CITIZENS meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 10 a.m. at Mountain Pointe Ministries. A meal is provided.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS The Blount County group meets Mondays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 7 p.m., and Sundays at 8 a.m. Alanon meets Mondays at noon. Both groups meet in Allgood. BLOUNT COUNTY BEEKEEPERS ASSOCIATION will have a beginner beekeeping class beginning Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., at the Resource Center in Cleveland. The classes will run for 6-8 weeks.

WALLACE STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Spring registration for classes is being held through Dec. 21 to assist students and parents at the Oneonta Center. HOPE HOUSE THRIFT STORE is in need of gently used furniture, appliances, apparel, and household items. Please donate clean items in working condition. This allows the organization to provide items to needy Blount County residents at a low cost. All donations are tax deductible.
