New name and owner for an old business

Lori Criswell (left, with Alysia Bell) has opened Criswell & Associates on U.S. 278 in Snead. Criswell, who has been in accounting since 1990, bought the business formerly known as Little and Johns from Rodger Little last year. The office is in the same 1500-square-foot building that has stood in the location since 1984. The new firm offers full-service accounting work – from general accounting and tax preparation to municipal and nonprofit audits and business bookkeeping. Criswell, who worked for larger firms for years, says owning her own business has allowed her more flexibility in serving her clients and, perhaps more importantly, with her own family. Criswell & Associates is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with weekend and after-hours appointments available during tax season. For more information, phone 466-7157.
