Myrtis Caddell Silvers



 

 

MYRTIS CADDELL SILVERS, 85, Oneonta, died Aug. 29, 2017. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and attended Union Hill Baptist Church. She retired from Blue Bell after more than 25 years. She enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles, Atlanta Braves baseball, and was an Auburn fan. Parents Eben and Gladys Gray Caddell, husband Harold Douglas Silvers, and brother Marlin Caddell predeceased her.

Surviving are daughters Sharon Howell, Amy (Eric) Sanders, Oneonta; sons Tim (Sharon) Silvers, Oneonta, Mark (Cheryl) Silvers, Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, two due in December; sisters Yvonne Schuessler, Oneonta, Mary (Marvin) Nixon, Orange Park, Fla.; brother Douglas (Sandra) Caddell, Corner.

Bill Barnett, Mick Silvers, and Eben Sanders officiated the 11 a.m. service held Sept. 1 at Union Hill Baptist Church. Mark Silvers officiated the graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Todd Silvers, Russell Silvers, Hayden Silvers, Eben Sanders, Mick Silvers, and Jerry Bedsole. Honorary pallbearers were Chris Banks, Jonathan Brown, Douglas Brown, and Ethan Poole. Lemley Funeral Home and Crematory directed.
