Museum volunteers prepare for their future

Appalachian student Briar Fowler and Oneonta students Savannah Patterson and Brooke Barnett (right) spent their summer wisely by volunteering at the Blount County Memorial Museum. The trio designated at least one day a week throughout the summer to working at the museum where they helped with displays, genealogy gathering, filing, and more. ‘It’s a good opportunity to build up your college resume and meet people who could potentially be future references,’ said museum curator Amy Rhudy.‘I really enjoyed having all three students working with me this summer.’ Anyone interested in volunteering with the museum can contact Rhudy at 625-6905 – Nicole Singleton
