MICHAEL EDWARD CRISWELL, 65, Susan Moore, died Jan. 26, 2021, at the residence. He had a law practice in Snead prior to becoming Blount County Circuit Clerk for 26 years before retirement. Predeceasing him were father Billie Keith Criswell and sister Baby Eugenia Criswell.
Surviving are wife Lori Criswell; children Bradley Dunn, Will Criswell, Stephen (Korie) Hendrix, Margaret Criswell; mother Margaret Steeley Criswell; siblings Jimmy (Nancy) Criswell, Linda (Mark) Butler, Joe (Debra) Criswell, Kim Criswell McAllister; parents-in-law Jim and Dennis Nell Hammond; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Dan Boatman officiated the 11 a.m. service held Jan. 30 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery with Bradley Dunn, Will Criswell, Stephen Hendrix, Jonathan Criswell, Zach McAllister, Evan Priest, Eddie Priest, and Daniel South serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Criswell, Joe Criswell, Mike Holmes, Ray Hathorn, Greg Thomas, Mason South, Boone Butler, Stephen Butler, and Michael Butler. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Blount County Education Foundation, P.O. Box 603, Oneonta, AL 35121. Snead Funeral Home directed.
