In lieu of swapping gifts among themselves, third grade students at Oneonta Elementary were asked to grow their hearts two sizes and bring a gift to donate to the Hope House this holiday season. Students spent an entire day celebrating Grinchmas and completing fun crafts and activities. They discussed how important it is to sometimes give rather than receive.
“The goal was to collect 100 items. We collected more than 130 items to send to children in our community. We are so proud of our third graders and the kindness that they showed this Christmas season,” said third grade teacher Jennifer Woods.
