The Meek Tigers used a punishing ground attack to roll up 450 yards on the ground in a 62- 45 victory over visiting Southeastern last Friday night.
The game was close in the first half – Meek led 22-13 after two quarters – but the Tiger running game wore down the Mustang defense in the second half in what turned out to be a shootout.
While Meek rushed for 458 yards, the Mustangs were balanced with 234 yards through the air and 163 on the ground.
Seth Wadsworth continued to have his way with 1A Region 7 defenses, completing 15 of 22 passing for 234 yards with four touchdowns and an interception and rushing for 103 yards and a score on just four attempts.
Jordan Graham caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown while Albert Tinney was on the receiving end of four balls for 82 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown pass. Conner Barton had four receptions for 24 yards.
Avery Jones had 54 yards and a touchdown on just eight attempts.
Tinney led the Mustang defense with 13 tackles while Conner Barton and Mitchell Young had 12 stops each. Harmon Barton had seven tackles and recovered a fumble which he returned for a touchdown.
Southeastern (1-7 overall, 0-5 in the region) hosts R.A. Hubbard (2-6, 0-5) this Friday.
