MARVIN ANDREW BLACKMON, 70, Holly Pond, died May 27, 2016. He was a paramedic with Suburban Ambulance Service for a short period of time after working with Reed Steel Company in Birmingham. He was of the Southern Baptist faith, enjoyed Alabama football, and socializing. Predeceasing him were parents Marvin and Cora Golden Blackmon, brothers Lee Gunter and James Gunter, and sister Sarah Gunter Blackmon.
Surviving are wife Donna Schulte; sons Clifford Ray Blackmon, Remlap, Anthony Clayton (Michele) Blackmon, Locust Fork; stepson William Joseph (Erin) Schulte, Cullman; grandchildren Samantha Nicole Blackmon, Jacob Adam Blackmon, Skye Elise Blackmon, Ashlin Marie Schulte, Lawson Taylor Schulte; brothers William “Woody” Blackmon, Tarrant, Norman Richard (Becky) Blackmon, Oneonta.
Memorial services were held May 31, at 11 a.m., at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Garden City Cemetery with Kenneth Blackmon, Joey Schulte, Donald Blackmon, Adam Blackmon, George Sanders, and Tony Wilson serving as pallbearers.
