Locust Fork’s Hood signs softball scholarship







Locust Fork pitcher Jordan Hood (pictured with Jeff Hood – father, Lindsey Wilson assistant coach Bobbi Easler, and Brenda Hood – mother) signed a softball scholarship last week with Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Ky. Hood was 18-11 on the mound last year for Locust Fork with a 2.76 ERA. She struck out 252 in 159 innings and threw two no-hitters and five shutouts. At the plate, Jordan batted .472 with seven home runs and 37 RBIs. Lindsey Wilson is coming off a school-best 47-14 season that included a Mid-South Conference Tournament title and the school’s firstever trip to the NAIA national tournament. –Rob Rice
