LAURA GENEVA MCCROSKEY, 84, Oneonta, died Feb. 8, 2015, at the residence. Retired from Blue Bell/Wrangler with 28 years of service, she was a member of Robin Hill Missionary Baptist Church, and won blue ribbons at the fair for her cooking. Predeceasing her were parents Elmer and Ivalee Nichols Hill, daughter Joyce Waid, and brothers Wesley Hill, Delmer Hill, Billie Hill, and Kenneth Hill.

Surviving are husband Bill McCroskey; daughter Robin (Jerry) Faulkner, Rosa; son Keith (Denise) McCroskey, Hueytown; son-inlaw David Waid, Locust Fork; grandchildren Jeremy (Perri) Faulkner, Skyler Faulkner, Trent Faulkner, Lindsay (Ryan) McIlroy, Whitney Waid, Cameron McCroskey; greatgrandchildren Bryant Sharp, Owen and Riley McIlroy; sisters Rebecca (Gary) Hamilton, Ashville, Laraine (Lowell) Snow, Holly Springs.

Stanley Jones, Larry Smith, and Randy Hale officiated the 2 p.m. service held Feb. 12 at Robin Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was at Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Jeremy Faulkner, Skyler Faulkner, Trent Faulkner, Cameron McCroskey, Ryan McIlroy, Jonathon Hamilton, Mark Snow, and Duane Hamilton serving as pallbearers. Lemley Funeral Home and Crematory directed.
