Lady Bulldogs ranked No. 10

High School Soccer

The Susan Moore Bulldogs girls soccer team, currently ranked number 10 in the state in 1-3A for the first time in school history, have put together an astonishing season thus far. They sit at 5-2 with their most recent win coming over the New Hope Indians, ranked No. 6 in the state at the time.

On the pitch defensively for the Bulldogs, goalie Alyssa Turquitt leads all the states on for goals saved so far this season. Samantha Zavala, Lizbeth Reyna, Maricarmen Gonzalez, Mia Martinez,

Joanna Saenz, and Audrey Lauderdale also contribute to the Bulldogs’ defense.

Offensively, Claire Perkins has 22 goals this season, 50 steals, and eight assists, and leads on Max- Preps for the most goals scored in Alabama. Claribel Robles has contributed seven goals and 20 assists, and Christy Cervantes and Briley Dutton have each scored one goal as well.

The Lady Bulldogs host the Boaz Pirates Thursday, March 12, at 5:30 p.m.
