KIMBERLY GALE PUCKETT KNISLEY, 48, Pinson, passed away July 30, 2020, in Birmingham, after a brief battle with cancer.
Kimi is survived by her father Charles H. Puckett; her brother Dan J. Puckett; her niece Mabel Elise Puckett; and her sister-in-law Heather R. Puckett. She was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Braden Puckett; and her grandparents Edward and Mabel Braden and Charles F. and Elsie Puckett.
Kimi was born in Birmingham on Feb. 10, 1972, grew up in the First Baptist Church of Center Point, and graduated from E.B. Erwin High School in 1990. After high school, she studied marine biology at Auburn University. She was a member of Redeemed Ministries. Kimi was generous, kind-hearted, absolutely adored animals, and was loved by many. While she had no children of her own, she held a special place in her heart for her only niece, Mae.
She was laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta, next to her mother. There was a private graveside service for the family.
