James S. Warren

JAMES S. WARREN, 74, Springville, died May 9, 2015, at the residence. He was a member of Grace Community Church where he was involved with church missions and taught Sunday school, an active member of the Alzheimer’s Awareness support group, and enjoyed building model cars. Predeceasing him were parents Olin and Lorene Haynes Warren, wife Wanda Faye Franklin Warren, brother Thomas Walter Warren, sister Palestine Black, and brother-in-law Roy Black.

Surviving are daughter Diedre Warren Robertson (Donald) Valentine, Fultondale; son James S. (Leasa) Warren II, Springville; grandchildren James Warren III, Ronnie Webb, Olivia Warren, Harrison Warren, Jay Allen Robertson, Jamie Danielle Robertson, Jack Warren Robertson, Donald Joseph Valentine, Jennifer Lynn Valentine, Adam Lee Valentine; eight great-grandchildren; brother Horace (Cathryn) Warren, Gadsden, sister Gail (Ed) McDonald, Jasper.

Thad Blount officiated the 11 a.m. service held May 11 at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were Jack Warren Robertson, Harrison Miller Warren, Ronald Lee Webb Jr., Timothy DeWayne Key, Steven Lee Warren, and Edouard Alexander Bruchac Jr.
