Information needed on hand-embroidered quilt

A quilt on display at the Blount County Memorial Museum is raising some questions. Currently on loan, the 6-by-6 square cream-colored quilt is hand-embroidered with names of Straight Mountain residents. Some have been recognized, while others have not, and those who loaned it to the museum are asking the public for their help in identifying some of those names on the quilt as well as asking for more information on how the quilt came to be and who made it. Anyone with information can contact museum curator Amy Rhudy at 625-6905.
